Ranked the second (#2) best beach in the United States by Dr. Beach, Fort De Soto Park offers 900 unspoiled acres and seven miles of beaches. A unique area made up of five islands, the park features a fort built during the Spanish-American War on the largest of the islands, Mullet Key. Two fishing piers, camping areas, a concession stand, bathroom facilities and covered picnic shelters are available. Fort De Soto Park also offers a popular biking and skating trail.
